My first telescope
My first telescope that my wife bought me for my birthday. A great scope for looking at the moon. Otherwise, I found that this telescope had me longing for more that seemed to be just out of my reach.
My current telescope
What an awesome little telescope! This 80mm Apochromatic Refractor has a focal length of 480mm and is excellent for wide field views of the sky. Follow the link for images I have taken using this fantastic telescope.
If you are interested in taking any images of deep sky objects you are going to need an equatorial mount that is capable of tracking the night sky. This is a fantastic mount that can carry up to 30 pounds of equipment, a reasonable amount of weight for any beginning astronomer.
